One of the few non-commercialized, secluded ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River. ♦️ Qiantong Ancient Town was established at the end of the Song Dynasty and reached its peak during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, still preserving over 1300 various ancient residential buildings. I first learned about Qiantong Ancient Town because it was the filming location for director Chen Yifei's movie 'The Barber'. Here, every household has a water channel in front of the door, with flowing water and carved beams. ♦️ Accustomed to the hustle and bustle of ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, this place does not have a strong commercial atmosphere, with more local residents, and everywhere is full of life. If you like originality and tranquility, this place is definitely worth a visit! ♦️ Walking on the ancient town's bluestone-paved streets, observing the architecture different from other ancient towns, and experiencing the unique slow life of the ancient town, one person, one tea, one afternoon! 🏨 'About Accommodation' ✅ I stayed at 'Ninghai Xiakexuan Hotel', located at the foot of Lianghuang Mountain, built against the mountain, with traditional Chinese courtyard design, white walls and black tiles, changing scenery with every step, less than fifty meters away from Lianghuang Mountain Scenic Area, and there is also an ancient temple to check in. It's only a ten-minute drive from Qiantong Ancient Town, very convenient. ✅ The hotel's tea room is very aesthetically pleasing, the design of the public areas is also very distinctive, and there is a large lawn in the backyard for camping and pitching tents. For families with children, there is also a cute children's playground with slides and rock climbing. The rooms are also spacious, all designed with terraces. Location: Outside the ancient town's ticket checkpoint, opposite to Gu Ming ‼️tips: ✅ It is recommended to drive: Set the navigation to Qiantong Ancient Town, do not navigate to the parking lot, as it is nearly 1km walk from the ancient town. There are many grid parking spaces available on the roadside❗️ ✅ If the itinerary is not very tight, it is recommended to climb to Lushan at the entrance of the village to overlook the entire town. ✅ Nearby attractions include Liangwang Mountain Scenic Area, the starting point of Xu Xiake's travel notes.
