Nice | The must visit Place Massena in Nice

Place Masséna is a large central square in downtown Nice. It was originally two separate squares: to the south was Old Town Nice, and to the north was Avenue Jean Médecin. The square operates as a semi-pedestrian zone, intersected by two roads: Avenue Félix Faure to the south and another to the north. It is also famous for its seven statues. On the first afternoon I visited Nice, the weather was pleasant, with blue skies and fluffy clouds—comfortably beautiful. On Saturdays, many people come out to shop, and since this square is close to Galeries Lafayette and serves as a prime shopping area, foot traffic is especially heavy.
