[Niagara Falls] Tips on using public transportation to see the spectacular waterfalls

Niagara Falls is really the place I think I should visit most in Canada. I also made some tips before going there, and I will share them with you~ 🚎Transportation Go train: Union Station - Burlington Go bus:. Burlington go - Stanley ave.@Hwy.420 park&ride It takes 3 hours to get to Niagara Falls from Toronto by GO train and then GO bus. Driving is much faster, so if you care, be sure to rent a car, but the cheapest option should be the GO train option. If you go there on the weekend and want a day trip, you can buy a one-day weekend pass, which costs 10cad. I stayed for one night, so I bought a two-day pass, which cost 15cad. This pass can be purchased on the official website of gotransit. You can check the specific timetable on the website and just go there at the time you want to go. The pass can be activated within 7 days of purchase. Just click to activate it 5 minutes before getting on the bus. The train was very comfortable, but there was some kind of malfunction when I was sitting on it, and it stopped temporarily for more than half an hour, which resulted in more than three hours to get to the Niagara Falls. I took the train to Burlington Station, got off, followed the crowds and transferred to bus No. 12. Its last stop is called Niagara Falls Bus Terminal, but please don't be fooled by the name, the nearest stop to the Niagara Falls is the second to last Stanley ave.@Hwy.420 park&ride. It is recommended to get off here and walk to the falls for about 15 minutes. 🏠Accommodation Other posts will recommend you hotels with falls views, such as Marriott, but if you go there in the summer, especially on weekends, the city view rooms in these hotels are sold for 600 cad a night, and the falls view rooms are 800 cad a night. In order to save money, I chose a hotel that is within walking distance to the falls, I stayed at Howard Johnson Plaza by Wyndham by The Falls Niagara Falls. The hardware of this hotel is really incomparable to Marriott. If you care about the quality of accommodation, you should still check out Marriott. It wins in terms of geographical location. The busiest street is downstairs, and it's within a 10-minute walk to the falls. It's a little over 100 cad on weekdays and 300 cad on weekends. ⛴️ Fun The Niagara Falls has attractions such as zip lines, Ferris wheels, go-karts, and roller coasters, but the one I personally recommend the most and think is a must-see is taking a boat to the Maid of the Mist (I think it should be Maid of the Storm) under the falls. The boat ticket is 37.01 cad including tax for adults. It takes about 15 minutes. I saw many people did not take the boat because they were afraid of getting wet. When it went out into the waterfall, I really thought it was spectacular that you couldn’t even open your eyes in the storm. But when you put on the raincoat it provides, only my hair got wet (if you tie your hair up, even your hair won’t get wet), and everything else was dry. You can go there without worry in the summer, it's super spectacular and worth the trip. Your phone will get wet and exposed to the sun, so keep your camera away if it's not waterproof. I wanted to say that my camera is waterproof, but when I looked at the video lens, there were water droplets all over it and I couldn't see anything. Remember to wipe the lens. 🎇Fireworks Show There is a fireworks show at 10pm every night (it seems to be until early October) which lasts for 5 minutes. It is recommended to hold up your phone and camera at around 9:50 so as not to miss it. If you want to find a good location, go at least 15 minutes in advance. Starting at 8am, the waterfall will light up with colorful lights. You should wear more clothes. It is quite windy and cold. The fireworks were set off at the small waterfall, on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. I personally think the best place to watch the fireworks is in the middle of the two waterfalls. #Overseas Travel #niagarafalls #
