Brooklyn Bridge on the sea

Today, the Brooklyn Bridge is one of New York City's most popular tourist attractions, with thousands of people crossing the bridge every day to enjoy the spectacular views of both sides of the East River. Yesterday, engineer John Roebling and his son Washington Roebling overcame numerous obstacles, including a catastrophic accident on the construction site that killed his father John and seriously injured Washington, but in the end Washington created the world's first steel bridge by communicating with the outside world with a finger. My travel route: DUMBO→Brooklyn Bridge Park→Brooklyn Bridge→Lower Manhattan→911 Site DUMBO is an art district in Brooklyn, New York City, located under the Manhattan Bridge overpass. This area was once a historic industrial district, but over time it has transformed into a vibrant community filled with art, culture, and stunning views. It is also because of Jay Chou that it has become a check-in destination for Chinese people. This area is full of small and fresh restaurants and cafes, providing a rich dining and leisure experience. You can enjoy a delicious breakfast at one of DUMBO’s many cafes, or grab a pastry and coffee from a local bakery to enjoy on the waterfront. I chose LUKE's, a fast food restaurant under the bridge. Sitting under the big tree, you can look out at the skyscrapers of Manhattan Island in the distance and take a close look at the world's longest suspension bridge. Isn’t this one of the great joys of the world? The Brooklyn Bridge is 1,825 meters long (about 1,834 meters), with piers up to 87 meters high. It uses steel-reinforced truss beams and many inclined cables. The bridge is suspended 41 meters above the water by tens of thousands of steel cables. The bridge deck is supported by 4 steel cables and has a wide sidewalk that is higher than the car road surface. There are dedicated lanes for walking and cycling on the bridge. Crossing the bridge, you can enjoy the New York skyline, and when the weather is good, you can also see the Statue of Liberty in the distance🗽. Looking at both sides of the bridge, I searched for the house through the window where the architect Washington directed the construction. I think city walking is really the best option for exploring Manhattan. While enjoying the scenery everywhere, you also avoid experiencing the unique New York subway culture. There are people performing all kinds of talent shows on the subway in New York. The city is very inclusive, and even rats 🐭 and pigeons 🐦 can live in peace with each other.
