Jiufen Teahouse

A trip to Jiufen should include a visit to a teahouse. The Jiufen Teahouse was once used for gold mining operations and then later a Chinese medicine apothecary. It was then acquired by the current owner, an artist who is also passionate about tea. Visitors have a three-hour limit to drink tea and eat snacks. We were also given a demonstration on how to brew the tea. Downstairs is a gallery and store display the owner’s oil paintings and ceramics. #timetotravel #taiwan #taipei #jiufenoldstreet #teahouse
