Nanping City, the birthplace of tea culture

Fujian Province's prefecture-level city, located in the northern part of Fujian Province, the northern section of the Wuyi Mountains, with a total area of 26,300 square kilometers, a registered population of 3.14 million, and a regional GDP of 221.184 billion yuan. Nanping City is a national ecological demonstration area, a national green development demonstration area, the source of the Minjiang River, a Fujian ecological barrier, and one of the best ecological environments at the same latitude on the earth. It has the typical 'eight mountains, one water, and one field' feature of southern China; it has more than 150 tourist resources, including one of the only four 'World Natural and Cultural Heritage Sites' in Wuyi Mountain. It is one of the earliest developed areas in southern China, with a history of more than 4,000 years within its territory, and is one of the birthplaces of Fujian culture. The name 'Fujian' is derived from the first character of ancient Jianzhou (now Jianou). It is the birthplace of Minyue culture, Zhuzi culture, Wuyi tea culture, Qitian Dasheng culture, and Zhang Sanfeng Tai Chi culture. The famous Neo-Confucian scholar Zhu Xi spent 'fifty years of qin and books' in Nanping, influencing China for more than 800 years, and it is called 'Minbang Zoulu' and 'Daonan Liku'.
