The Geometric Aesthetics in the Beautiful Qinhuai Scenery — Exploring the Nanjing Palace Ruins

The interplay of light and shadow among the stone tablets touches the weight of history; at the corner, the ancient city wall foundation appears, with mottled stone patterns telling tales of time. The Nanjing Palace, serving as the architectural blueprint for the Beijing Forbidden City, preserves relics such as the Wumen Gate platform, Nei Wulong Bridge, and the Fengtian Gate ruins, along with stone pillar bases and other artifacts, showcasing the court regulations of the Ming Dynasty. Every April to May, nearly a hundred hydrangea trees bloom along the northern side of the city wall, creating a historic scene of white and green, perfect for ancient-style photography. Scattered cloud-patterned Sumeru pedestal carvings feature five-clawed cloud dragons, and the inner walls of the arched gates retain brick inscriptions with the names of Ming Dynasty craftsmen, bearing witness to the construction system.
