Nanjing's Yibo Museum is open for free without reservation

Liuhé Museum began trial operation and opened to the public for free without reservation starting October 28. The museum is located at the site of the former Wanshou Palace (Xuanzhen Temple). Here, visitors can witness the historical context of Liuhé from ancient times to the Ming and Qing dynasties and immerse themselves in the intangible cultural heritage of Liuhé County government street during the late Qing and early Republic of China periods. The museum's collection is rich and distinctive, including Shang and Zhou dynasty stone arrowheads, bone arrowheads, and pottery jars, which are significant for studying the Shang and Zhou culture in the Chuhe River basin of the Yangtze River region; Western Han dynasty bronze mirrors with entwined patterns and Western Jin dynasty bronze mirrors with hundred-plays patterns, which are very rare among similar mirrors; the Western Jin green-glazed pot, the first discovery in the Nanjing area; the Western Jin celadon lion-shaped water vessel, a rare masterpiece from the Yue kiln; the Southern Dynasties celadon lotus vase, an extremely rare and precious Buddhist art piece; and very rare Song dynasty peach-shaped Yuhua stone ornaments.
