A Zen Journey to Nanjing Changlu Temple

Nanjing Changlu Temple, a historic temple built in the eighth year of the Liang Dynasty during the Southern Dynasties (527 AD), is renowned as a prominent Zen Buddhist site. The temple boasts magnificent architecture and is so expansive that it is often described as "running horses through the mountain gate." Within the temple grounds, visitors can admire cultural treasures such as the Grand Hall of Great Hero, the Hall of Three Treasures, and a massive bronze bell from the Song Dynasty, all of which exude a rich sense of history and culture. From Nanjing Station, take the D3 bus to Xichangmen Station, then transfer to bus 658 and alight at Chongfu Zen Temple Station. Alternatively, take Metro Line 3 to Taifeng Road Station, transfer to Line S8, and exit at Exit 2 of Xiejia Dian Station to catch bus 640, which will take you to Changlu Chongfu Zen Temple Station.
