Now it's Nanjing, not Shanghai!

Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu Province. Since there is a large international city like Shanghai next door, people don't travel to Nanjing much, but if you are interested in Chinese history and cuisine, it is a city you must visit. 1. Airline Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, and China Eastern Airlines operate direct flights. Since there are no LCCs, the price is relatively high compared to places like Shanghai, but if you look hard, you can get it for around 180,000 won. Or, you can take a train from Shanghai. 2. Weather Nanjing is hot enough to be called one of the five furnaces in China. I went in June, but it was already very hot and humid. It would be better to visit in spring or fall. 3. Places to visit Nanjing is a good place to go for a historical tour. In fact, it is one of the '10 great ancient cities' in China, so it has a long history and has many places with high cultural value. Also, traces of modern Chinese history remain vivid in Nanjing. Be sure to visit Ming Xiaoling (the tomb of the founder of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang), Zhongshan Mausoleum (the tomb of Sun Yat-sen), the Presidential Palace (the presidential palace of the Nationalist government), and Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple). 4. Restaurants Nanjing's representative foods are 'Nanking salted duck 南京盐水鸭) and duck blood noodles. These are dishes you must try when you come to Nanjing. The most famous restaurant is the chain 'Nanking Dafatang 南京盐水鸭'. However, I recommend the more local, inexpensive, and very impressive restaurant '金陵鸭血粉丝汤'. It's a place that few Koreans visit, so if you want local flavors, atmosphere, and delicious food, be sure to visit.
