It's also a popular spot for food and drinks, offering Cantonese desserts and local snacks like wontons. On Zhongyang Road and Zhongshan North Road, there's the popular Hong Kong Boy Cha Chaan Teng, which has been around for many years and consistently offers good quality. Nanjing is located in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, and Anhui region, so Huaiyang cuisine is a staple. There are various options, from Jinling Feast to Xiao Chuniang, catering to different budgets. However, if you want to try the local specialties, it won't be cheap. Recently popular dishes like hand-shredded fish face and pufferfish are quite pricey, mainly served individually. Of course, there are also many local delicacies in old neighborhoods like Shanghai Road, Guangzhou Road, and Shigu Road. It all depends on your preferences. There are also many international students in these areas, so you can find a variety of international cuisines. I personally love the handmade pizza in the alley near Nanjing Normal University. It's really good. In short, city tours are all about taking it easy, strolling around, and enjoying the food. You don't have to go to fancy restaurants to experience the city's culinary scene.
