Hongshan Forest Zoo Guide｜This is all you need.

📣Notes: When visiting, be sure to follow the business philosophy of Hongshan Zoo, which is to let the animals be themselves. So, do not tap on the glass, make loud noises, feed the animals, or use flash photography. Also, there are no animal performances at Hongshan Zoo! - 1️⃣Tickets: CNY 40 (students with ID can buy tickets on-site for half price). No reservation is required, just buy tickets directly. 🕓Opening hours: 8:30 am–6 pm (last entry at 4:30 pm). We strongly recommend visiting on a weekday if possible, as there are fewer people and a better experience! - 2️⃣Luggage storage: There are free lockers at the entrance, with a free storage time of 6 hours. If they are full, you can also store your luggage at the visitor center. (P.S. Parents with children can also rent a shared stroller at the entrance.) - 3️⃣Transportation🚇: Take Metro Line 1 to Hongshan Zoo Station, and walk to the north gate of the zoo. You can also take a taxi to the east gate. Choose according to your planned route. - 4️⃣Zoo route (full version): See map in image ❷ Panda Pavilion → Meerkat Pavilion → Native Species Conservation Area (famous wild boars) → Wolf Pavilion → Dazhuangguan Pavilion → Feline Planet → Bear Pavilion → Chinese Feline Pavilion → Tiger Pavilion → Gaoligong Exhibition Area (the red pandas were sleeping at 1 pm, so if you want to see them active, go in the morning) → Elephant Pavilion → Gondwana Scenic Area → Orangutan Pavilion → Asian Primate Pavilion (Dudu was here when we visited) → Koala Pavilion (we went at around 4 pm, when the keepers were feeding the koalas, and they were all awake and super cute) → Giraffe Pavilion → Rare Bird Garden, Hornbill Pavilion, and Deer Slope → Panda Pavilion (we finished the zoo at around 4 pm, just in time for the 4:30 pm feeding, so we went back to see the super cute sleepy Jiujiu) - 5️⃣Dining: There is a food court in the zoo, and some milk tea shops along the way, all of which are available for purchase. - 6️⃣Car rental🚗: Rental location: uphill after the Panda Pavilion Deposit: CNY 500 Regular car: CNY 100/hour Little Nemo car: CNY 120/hour I personally think it's unnecessary if you can walk, as the car can only be parked at the entrance of the pavilion. However, if you have children or elderly people with you, you can consider renting one. - 7️⃣Stamp guide: The green stalls are the zoo's own. As long as you buy something at any of these stalls, you can stamp at any of the other zoo stalls. Some of the other stalls offer free stamps, while others require a purchase. Just ask the stall owner. - 8️⃣Key times (but also go with the flow, just have fun and don't force it): 🐼Panda feeding: 8:30 am, 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm, 4:30 pm 🐨Koala weighing: 9 am–9:30 am - 📝Tips: Wear comfortable shoes, and bring insect repellent if you're worried about bugs. - Finally, Hongshan Zoo is great. It's really nice to see the animals being themselves, and the ticket price is great value!
