Because of the saying "Half of Nanjing's history is in Niushou Mountain," I came to Nanjing from Hangzhou. In the changing landscape, you can see a thousand years of history. The Foding Palace is magnificent on a sunny day, but it was drizzling when I visited, so I didn't get a photo of the golden "durian shell." However, Niushou Mountain is also poetic after the rain. This time, I took a new route, "Dongchan Xinlu," which is less well-known and a niche route. From the "Huaxin Gate" in front of the Foding Palace, I walked up the bluestone road with an umbrella, surrounded by the fragrance of osmanthus. The whole road is quiet, with only the sound of birds and insects, which fits the name "Xinlu" (Heart Journey). If this is your first time visiting Niushou Mountain, it's more convenient to enter from the east gate. Take the shuttle bus to Tianque Station, and the escalator will take you to the Foding Palace and Foding Pagoda. If you have time, you can go to the Hilton Nanjing Niushoushan after leaving the park and have a cup of the autumn special "Osmanthus Latte." The lobby bar has floor-to-ceiling windows facing the ginkgo forest, which looks even better in late autumn.
