The Fine Arts Department assumes that this is probably the first Ubosot in the form of a four-sided pavilion built in Thailand, which is over 400 years old. 🌿 Inside, on all 4 sides, there are beautifully carved wooden doors with graceful patterns, made by ancient Lanna craftsmen at that time. The roof structure is supported by 12 teak pillars, which are outstanding, strong, and very beautiful. 🌳 In addition, inside the Ubosot There are also mural paintings or “Hub Taem” on all 4 walls, with stories such as “Buddha Jataka”, “Local Legends” and “The Lives of Nan People in the Past”. 🍁 The most famous painting is the painting of “Pu Man Ya Man”, a man and a woman “Tai Lue” whispering to each other. The man is tattooed and the woman is dressed in full Tai Lue regalia. It is very delicate and complete. There is the use of red, blue, black, and dark brown in large patches, similar to modern paintings.
