Nakhon Si Thammarat City Pillar Shrine 🙏

Nakhon Si Thammarat City Pillar Shrine is located in the heart of Mueang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat, next to Sanam Na Mueang. It is a sacred place of the city and is a place of worship for locals and tourists who come to pay homage for good fortune. There are 4 buildings in the City Pillar Shrine. The middle building houses the city pillar, surrounded by 4 small pillars. The large pillar is carved in the shape of Jatukam Ramathep with four faces. There is also a Rahu shrine at the back of the city pillar shrine. On the day I went, there was an event, a Brahmin ceremony, and there were quite a few people. If there is an event or ceremony, the front door will be closed by the tent of the person performing the ceremony. We can enter through the back door. 🚙 Parking is available at the back and front. If the parking lot is full, you can park your car on the road around the City Pillar Shrine. 🚻 There is a restroom at the back, near the parking lot. ⏰️ Open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 🏷 Free admission 🌺 Incense, candles, and flowers are provided for those who come to pay homage.
