This unique garden, located in the heart of Okinawa City, has a history spanning over 30 years. The story begins in 1992, when to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Naha's establishment and the sister-city relationship between Fuzhou and Naha, a group of craftsmen from Fuzhou was invited to create this garden. The garden features a peach blossom stream reflecting corridors and viewing platforms, exuding a strong Chinese aesthetic. The White Pagoda and Black Pagoda each occupy distinct scenic spots within the garden. A waterfall pavilion is built atop an artificial hill, offering a refreshing experience from below and a panoramic view of Fuzhou Garden from above. Using the borrowed scenery technique, the garden achieves a layered appearance. White walls, gray tiles, red pillars, and stone materials combine to create a Jiangnan-style garden with Fuzhou characteristics. Additionally, the garden is planted with mulberries, papayas, and local Okinawan vegetation, presenting a harmonious blend of styles. Fuzhou Garden offers incredibly affordable admission. Daytime visits cost only 200 yen, while nighttime visits, which include illuminated views, are priced at 600 yen due to higher maintenance costs.
