Glover Garden, Nagasaki City

Glover Garden, located in Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture, is an ancient wooden Western-style building still in existence in Japan. This was once the residence of Thomas Blake Glover, who supported Ryoma and other patriots at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate. There are a series of old or Western-style buildings available for visit, including the former Nagasaki District Court Chief's Residence, the former Mitsubishi Second Crew Quarters, the old Muge House, the old Steele Memorial School, the old Glover House, etc.
