Nagasaki Spectacles Bridge

#DomesticTravelRecord One of the oldest arched stone bridges still standing and one of the three most famous bridges in Japan. Nagasaki Meganebashi Bridge, a nationally designated important cultural property! It is said to have been built in 1634 (Kan'ei 11) by Zen priest Mokusu Nyojo of Kofuku-ji Temple. It is said to have been named after the double circle that appears on the surface of the river, which looks like "glasses." It is one of Japan's three most famous bridges, along with Nihonbashi Bridge in Tokyo and Kintaibashi Bridge in Yamaguchi. Part of the bridge collapsed in the 1982 Nagasaki flood, but was restored the following year and is now a nationally designated important cultural property. When the water level is low, you can use the stairs to descend to the riverbank and stroll along the water's edge. The heart stones on the banks of the Nakajima River, including Meganebashi Bridge, are attracting attention as power spots for love fulfillment, so be sure to look for them when you visit.
