You'll be lucky if you can buy something from [Bread Are Espresso]. It's hard to find as there is no sign, and the bakery is only open from Friday to Monday mornings.

#NagasakiTrip #NagasakiTourism #Bakery #HiddenStore Bread A Espresso is only open four days a week, Friday to Monday, from 6am to 10:30am, but closes as soon as the bread is sold out. It's a hard-to-find bakery because it doesn't have a sign, and they only sell bread and delicious espresso. There's no sign, but the words Bread A Espresso are engraved on the gray stone above the shop's door, but you can't tell even if you look closely...There's a small window in the outside wall, and when you look inside...the name of the shop is written on a 5cm x 10cm piece of paper. It opens at 6:30am, so when I went there after 6am, there were already more than 10 people lined up. When the store opens, only three groups are allowed in at a time: one to choose bread and pay, another to choose, and another to wait inside the store... When one group leaves, the next group enters. Apparently, the reason they only allow two people per group is to be considerate of the neighbors since it's early in the morning, and of course they ask that people keep their voices low and to a minimum when talking. When it was my turn to enter the store, there were so many delicious-looking breads, and the smell of flour, bread, and espresso made the whole store smell good. I bought the most popular, white chocolate & macadamia, the second most popular, Earl Grey, as well as chocolate, my favorite walnut raisin, and a baguette (large) as a souvenir. Both staff members were very polite and nice, and I had imagined them to be older, slightly scary people, but they were a nice young man and woman. Contrary to what I expected, bread was cheap, starting at around 220 yen, and espresso was only 450 yen, so it wasn't expensive at all. I didn't buy espresso, just bread, but even if I bought a large baguette, the total was less than 1,500 yen. When I got back to the hotel and tried them, they were all really delicious! The white chocolate & macadamia had white chocolate inside... and a lot of macadamia nuts inside the bread. The moment I broke the Earl Grey bread, the aroma of black tea leaves was a pleasant suit, and the walnut raisin bread was packed full of stuff, making it the best walnut raisin bread I've ever eaten...the amount of walnuts inside was incredible. The chocolate was not too sweet, and was kneaded into the dough, giving it a very rich taste and aroma. It was worth getting up early to go. I was nervous inside the restaurant and ordered in a very hushed voice...but when I got back to the hotel I shouted loudly about how delicious it was.
