Ghibli Park in Nagoya: A Magical Day Trip! 🌳

#summervacay tickets, it really is best to book at least a month in advance on the official Ghibli Park website; otherwise, it can be tough to get suitable tickets. We entered the park at noon with a "walking ticket" (散步票). Even though the weather was hot, it didn't stop us from getting some amazing photos! The outdoor Totoro area requires a separate ticket, costing 400 JPY per person. You can take a free shuttle bus there, or opt for the "Totoro bus" for 1000 JPY per person. Our entry time for the Ghibli's Grand Warehouse was 3 PM, and let me tell you, this was by far the most enjoyable part of the park! If you can, I highly recommend booking an earlier slot for the Grand Warehouse. They have 1:1 scale recreations of famous scenes that are absolutely stunning and truly impactful. I also saw some of Hayao Miyazaki's original manuscripts – it was incredible to learn that even a seemingly simple drinking scene required 341 individual hand-drawn frames. It really makes you appreciate the hard work of animators! There's also a charming nine-minute film to watch, a very cute and heartwarming little story that I found quite healing. At the souvenir shop, my partner and I each picked two blind boxes, and we both got exactly what we wanted on the first try! They're definitely worth buying (and the price is similar to Pop Mart). Finally, if you're heading back to Nagoya Station, you can take a direct bus from the park.
