From there, take Highway 2348 and pinpoint Wat Pa Phu Khon, then follow the GPS. Area/Location - Before ascending to Wat Pa Phu Khon, there's a parking area. If you're traveling by large bus, you'll need to park here and a shuttle will pick you up. On busy weekends, all buses must park here and a shuttle will pick you up from the front gate. However, on the day I visited, it was a weekday, so I was able to drive straight up. The road is well-maintained, but there's a single-lane intersection between the ascent and descent. The ascent is shady with large and small trees along the road. The road can be steep in some sections, so be careful. Once you reach the temple grounds, there's a large parking area, with covered parking for the disabled. The temple and the viharn are located high on a mountain. There are stairs leading up to the viharn. Once you reach the top, you'll find an open area with a pavilion and a viharn in the center. The temple's beauty is evident in its bright blue roof, reminiscent of the sky. To the left of the temple are two statues of Thao Wessuwan. Before entering the temple, there are two Naga statues on the left and right sides, another beautiful sight. Upon entering, we encounter a large white reclining Buddha statue in the center of the temple. You can walk around the Buddha. The interior features a variety of wall decorations and various historical accounts of Buddhism. To the north, there's a door leading outside, offering a scenic view. The temple's exterior is located on the top of a hill, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Phu Khon Forest Park is located in the Na Yong and Nam Som forest reserves. During the week, it's quiet and peaceful, with restrooms and free Dharma books available. The temple grounds have restrooms downstairs. Drone photography is available, offering stunning views. Opening Hours: The temple and temple are open daily from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Note: When driving down from the temple, be aware of the one-way exit.
