To travel to Mulayit, you must cross the Ban Wa Lay checkpoint in Phop Phra District, Tak Province, and must ride a 4WD vehicle only. When you reach Mulayit, the distance from the temple to the camping area is only 1.5 kilometers. (Mulayit prohibits eating meat. You must eat vegetarian food only.) The prohibitions for Mulayit or Molayit should be followed and shown respect for the place. 1. Do not eat meat. 2. Do not allow women to scoop water from the well. 3. Do not allow men and women to sleep together on the mountain. 4. Do not allow women who are menstruating to enter the area of the pagoda and sacred objects. 5. Women can only worship the pagoda on the lower floor. They cannot go up to the pagoda on the upper floor. 6. Do not use foul language. 7. Men and women are prohibited from getting close to each other in the area of the chedi and sacred objects. 8. Drinking alcohol on the mountain is prohibited. 9. You must remove your shoes before going up to pay homage to the chedi. The journey here is quite difficult and requires a lot of patience.
