A port with a long history

Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Murcia (Region) It is a major large cruise ship port. The car park is easy to use and is located underground at the port on Calle Alfonso II, just off the mini traffic island near the "Burger King" and from there it is a short walk to the port terminal where there are some bars and restaurants. Then across the road is the entrance to a very nice shopping area with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. At the entrance to the first section are several bronze figures depicting the naval conscription of young Spanish men who were forced to join the navy many years ago. This area connects to another area and then continues into narrow streets where you will find tapas bars and other historic buildings. The Roman Amphitheatre is to the right and is well worth the short climb. Cartagena is a "must" visit. #JanuaryDestinations2025 #SpainTravel #Murcia
