Nymphenburg Palace Nymphenburg Palace was built by Elector Ferdinand Maria in 1664-1674 as a gift to his wife Henriette Adelaide, who gave birth to a son, Max Emanuel, who later became King Maximilian II Emanuel. It was later expanded into a summer palace for the Wittelsbach family to relax in. There are many rooms to see, such as the birth room of King Ludwig II, the bedroom, and the banqueting hall, which are beautifully decorated in Rococo art. There is also the Marstall Museum, a carriage museum, a separate building from the palace.
