Wat Chaloem Phrakiat Phra Chom Klao Rachanusorn or the original name is "Wat Phra Phutthabat Pu Pha Daeng" which is located in Chae Hom District, Lampang Province. The outstanding thing of this temple that made it famous is the beautiful image of a small white pagoda built on a high mountain surrounded by high mountains. It was built from the faith of humans, an image that attracts many people to travel there. Wat Chaloem Phrakiat is located on a large mountain in Chae Hom District, Lampang Province, in the area of ​​Doi Phrabat Wildlife Sanctuary. On this mountaintop, there is a footprint of the Lord Buddha, which has been highly revered by the people of Chae Hom District for a long time. However, in the past, there was no road up to the mountain, so Buddhists who believed in it had to walk through dense forests and high cliffs to pay homage to this footprint of the Lord Buddha. Later, Luang Pho Phaibun Sumangkhalo (Phra Thepwisutthiyan), the abbot of Wat Analayothipyaram in Phayao Province, traveled to pay homage to the footprint of the Lord Buddha by foot. His faith was the origin of the construction of the temple. In addition, on the occasion that His Majesty King Mongkut (Rama IV) celebrated his 200th birthday on October 18, 2004. The Sangha therefore resolved to build a temple to honor him in order to commemorate his great kindness towards the Thai people. Therefore, “Wat Chaloem Phrakiat Phra Chom Klao Rajanuson” was built in Wichet Nakhon Subdistrict, Chae Hom District, Lampang Province. Inside the lower part of the temple is the ordination hall and pagoda. We can go inside to pay respect to the Buddha image inside the ordination hall, which is a replica of Phra Nirantarai, which is considered one of the Buddha images of King Rama IV. The ordination hall itself looks like a Lanna temple with a two-tiered roof and a pair of lions standing guard at the entrance to the ordination hall courtyard. The temple is located on the top of a hill, which is a tourist destination. It is part of the pagoda built around the hill. Which requires a 30-minute drive through a steep and narrow path. Then, walk up the stairs for about 300 steps. When you reach the top of the mountain, it is divided into 2 parts: the right side will go up to worship the Phra That, which requires a small, steep staircase.
