Samtavro Church Monastery in Mtskheta

This is a World Heritage monastery in Mtskheta, a town near Tbilisi, where St. Nino is said to have prayed. It is also said to be the place where the coronation and funerals of Georgian royals take place. It is located near the marshrutka stop for round trips from Tbilisi. There is a small museum nearby, so it's a good idea to stop by until the marshrutka arrives before returning to Tbilisi.
