Visit the Moscow Metro

When in Moscow, another place that you should not miss and must visit is the ‘Moscow Metro’, which is known as the most beautiful metro station in the world. It stands out with its architecture and interior decorations that are a unique blend of communist dictatorship and the cultural heritage of Moscow. Most beautiful metro stations are located on the brown circle line (Koltsevaya Line) or Line 5, which is an important line because it connects to all other train lines in Moscow. Construction began after World War II in Russia under the orders of the former leader Joseph Stalin. 1. Komsomolskaya Station Komsomolskaya Station is one of the most beautiful and crowded stations. The central hall is decorated with large lamps. The ceiling is decorated with stories by using different colored stones to decorate beautifully. The decoration is in the Baroque and Stalinist style. 2. Novoslobodskaya Station Novoslobodskaya Station stands out with 32 stained glass panels, each framed in brass. The highlight is the art made from stained glass. It is intended to express the peace that has occurred in the world after World War II. 3. Kiyevskaya Station Kiyevskaya Station will be a mosaic wall decoration of 18 pillars surrounded by small sculptures in the form of seeds, flower buds and leaves. The mosaic wall shows the content of the daily life of Ukrainians, telling the story of the close historical relationship between Russians and Ukrainians, who have been like sister cities for a long time. 4. Ploshchad Revolyutsi Station Polshid Revolyutsi Station, which is considered the highlight of this station. The statue, which is considered a work of art created in accordance with the Soviet art and culture model called Socialist - Realism, is a tribute to heroes and important figures in the past, conveying the meaning of the revolution to the people. Some of the highlights, such as the statue of a soldier sitting with a dog or a chicken, will be rubbed by passersby for good luck until it shines (as shown in the picture).
