St. Cyrus｜Wandering the Gold Coast

🌼 Welcome to St. Cyrus National Nature Reserve! Moist sea breezes shape this beautiful coastline, while inland cliffs and dune ridges act as nature's guardians, guarding this warm corner of Scotland's north-east coast, a natural paradise. Colorful wildflowers bloom here in the summer, becoming the base for a carnival of insects. Many birds such as dancing grass warblers, stone warblers, and skylarks thrive here. In winter, a large number of wild ducks and swans are attracted. 🦋 St. Cyrus National Reserve is also a paradise for butterflies, especially those striking blue butterflies and dark green fritillary butterflies. In the coastal dune wasteland, you will often find the bright blue six-spotted Burnet (Rotwidderchen). They are a species of butterfly that flies during the day. Their wings flap leisurely and slowly, and they gracefully land on flowers to enjoy the nectar.
