Amanohashidate - One of Japan's Three Scenic Views

Amanohashidate is a narrow sandbar in northern Kyoto that separates Miyazu Bay, stretching approximately 3.6 kilometers and covered with pine trees. The name Amanohashidate means 'Bridge to Heaven,' as the sandbar looks like a pathway connecting the earth to heaven when viewed from the surrounding mountains. Transportation Direct Express Train: There are four direct express trains from Kyoto Station to Amanohashidate (Hashidate) per day. Alternatively, you can take the Kinosaki Express from Kyoto Station to Fukuchiyama Station and transfer to the Kyoto Tango Railway Miyafuku Line to Amanohashidate Station. (It is recommended to use the JR Kansai Wide Area Rail Pass for better value!) After exiting Amanohashidate Station, walk a short distance to the right to reach the cable car and chair lift area. You can purchase a one-way or round-trip ticket, and it is highly recommended to experience it! (Be sure to check the operation status of the cable car and chair lift before departure!)
