#September2024 Santa Maria delle Grazie, also known as the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, is a Catholic architectural complex in Milan, Italy. It was built in 1460 and expanded by Bramante in 1492. The complex includes the church and the adjacent Dominican monastery restaurant, which is best known for Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece "The Last Supper" painted on the restaurant's walls. This painting is the pinnacle of Leonardo da Vinci's artistic achievement and is regarded as the pride of Milan. It survived the Second World War and was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1980. In addition to "The Last Supper", the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie itself is also worth seeing. Its fusion of Gothic and Renaissance styles, as well as its exquisite dome and murals, are all fascinating. When visiting, you can take Metro Line 1 or Line 2 to Cadorna Station and walk about 10 minutes to arrive.
