Yele Lake | A lakeside worth revisiting 🕹️ Yele Lake is a reservoir located in the mountains of Mianning, with an altitude of 2600 meters. It boasts scenic views of mountains and lakes, situated in Yele Township of Mianning County, 320 kilometers from Chengdu, about a 4-hour drive, which is perfect for a weekend trip. 🚗 Transportation: After exiting the highway, the road to Yele Lake will climb a mountain pass, but the road condition is quite good, and the road is relatively wide. Just be aware of falling rocks. ✅ About reservation: Currently, there is no need to make a reservation or book a homestay to enter Yele Lake. You only need to register fire prevention information twice to enter. 🏠 Accommodation: There are several homestays and camping sites⛺️ inside, but the voltage may be unstable in the homestays. 🍲 Dining: There are no dedicated restaurants in Yele Lake. Meals can be pre-ordered from homestays. This time we chose to pre-order from Miye Inn, and the smoked meat stewed chicken soup pot we had was very tasty, recommended👍 🌲 Scenery: Yele Lake has pleasant scenery, with different views in each season. It has a quiet beauty that feels secluded from the world, with primitive villages of ethnic minorities, few people, beautiful views, and many animals. Along the way, there are monkeys🐒, cattle and sheep🐑🐂, pigs🐖. Snow-capped mountains are within easy reach, and when the weather is good and the sun is out, the lake shimmers beautifully. You can watch the sunrise and sunset🌄, and at night there are stars🌃. It's very relaxing, fun, beautiful, and photogenic by the lakeside. In summer, when the grass turns green, it should be even more beautiful. I want to go again in winter. Highly recommend camping⛺️ 1️⃣ For camping, you can navigate to📍 Yele Lake Shepherd Tribe Camping Base. It costs 40 yuan/car to enter, plus 10 yuan per person. Camping overnight costs 100 yuan per car, and individuals are not charged. The campsite has toilets, hot water, and wooden platforms for tents⛺️, close to the mountains and lakeside, with nice views. 2️⃣ If you stay in your car for camping, you can navigate to📍 Miye Inn. There is a large open space in front of the inn where you can also camp for free, next to the lakeside, with beautiful scenery. You can borrow the toilet at the inn for washing, and you can also pre-order meals there. The owner is very nice, highly recommended! Tips: The mountain road to Yele Lake is in good condition and friendly for beginners. Sedans can go up the mountain, but be careful of falling rocks⚠️ The temperature varies greatly between morning and evening, and the wind by the lake is also strong, so be prepared with thick clothes and a hat.
