Meersburg medieval town #Bodensee 🇩🇪

With only around 6000 people living there it is quite small but well worth a visit! We walked down to the lake and along the lake promenade and back through the village and yes it is mostly pedestrian area!😍 Getting There - best by car ferry (Autofähre) from Konstanz, by bus from Friedrichshafen, car or bicycle! Attractions - 1. Old Meersburg Castle with a restaurant with great view (photo 7) 2. New castle (photo 2&3) 3. Bible Museum 4 Lake Promenade 5. States vinery 6. Zeppelin Museum 7. Vineum Bodensee wine museum 8. Meersburg Therme: in- outside pool and spa Hotels - Sporthotel Schoenblick 3* Jufa Hotel Meersburg 3* Flair Hotel Zum Schiff 3* Mittelalterhotel-Gästehaus Rauchfang 3* Hotel und Gästehaus Seehof 3* Food & Restaurants - First we tried Detto Fatto! They asked for our reservation but we didn’t have any however were allowed! Since we only wanted one meal, the waitress said there is a minimum consumption! So we left since she was quite unfriendly! Then we went to Go-In Burger Place (Photo 11)! My wife had a pork steak and potato salad which was a kind of fast food style😂and she was desppointed! The waiter told the family next to us after finishing to eat they had to leave! Meersburg yes it is well worth a visit but the restaurants are spoilt with day trip visitors and crowded!!
