Westeros or Malta

Many places around the world have come synonymous with Game of Thrones filming locations from Iceland to Croatia, however one often overlooked is the tiny Mediterranean island of Malta. The town of Mdina in the centre of the island provided the backdrop for King’s landing during the shows first season. For those not interested in the fantasy series, there is still reason to visit. The beautiful medieval town is full of history and well preserved architecture which is never far away as you walk through its narrow, cobbled streets. #malta #gameofthrones
