The most beautiful peak in Europe, the king of the Alps.

Everyone has a supreme mountain in their hearts to look up to. For Chinese people, it may be the majestic and sacred Mount Everest; for Japanese people, it may be the elegant and mysterious Mount Fuji. But in the hearts of many Europeans, the "sacred mountain" is the king of the Alps - the Matterhorn. Switzerland is a veritable "mountain kingdom". The Alps, known as the "backbone of Europe", account for about 60% of its land area. There are 48 peaks over 4,000 meters above sea level and more than 3,350 peaks over 2,000 meters above sea level. The Matterhorn, at an altitude of 4,478 meters, is not the highest, but its pyramid-shaped mountain body stands alone in the sky, piercing the sky, overlooking the peaks, and is recognized by Europeans as the "king of the Alps". It attracts countless tourists every day to witness its style. If you want to experience the Matterhorn, you must come to Zermatt in the Valais region of southwestern Switzerland. This hidden mountain city is hidden in the hinterland of the Alps, located at the foot of the Matterhorn, surrounded by mountains, and for environmental reasons, the city is closed to oil cars all year round. Zermatt, known as the "City of Glaciers", is small but a famous tourist destination in Switzerland. It is famous for the Matterhorn and is also a world-class ski resort and mountaineering and hiking paradise. The town in the mountain nest is distributed with houses, hotels, restaurants and various shops. Walking on the street, most of them are professional climbers, tour groups and backpackers who come here for their reputation. In winter, there are many skiers, making the original quiet town full of hustle and bustle. Walking in Zermatt, you can see the magnificent snow mountain scenery when you look up, especially the majestic Matterhorn is like a guard guarding this hidden secret. Coming to Zermatt, if you want to watch the best Matterhorn heroism up close, you must go to the top viewing platform. The recommended way to climb the mountain is to take the local "Gornergrat" cogwheel mountain train (Gornergrat Bahn). This is the first electric cogwheel train in Switzerland. It officially operated in 1898 and has a history of over 100 years. Take the train up the mountain, the Matterhorn is all the way, all the way amazing! This time we chose to get off at Rotenboden Station, and then walk 15 minutes from the station to Riffelsee. You can enjoy the beautiful reflection of the Matterhorn by the lake, and the photos are super out. Then take the train from Rotenboden Station to the Gornergrat viewing platform at an altitude of 3089 meters. This is the best place to see the Matterhorn. You can almost look at the Matterhorn. Standing here, you can see the beautiful scenery of 29 peaks over 4,000 meters above sea level, including the Matterhorn, which is breathtaking. When going down the mountain, we chose to get off at Riffelalp Station, walk a few minutes to the restaurant on the hillside for lunch, eat crispy pork while enjoying the Matterhorn close at hand, it is an unforgettable dining experience. After eating and drinking, take the car down the mountain and return to Zermatt.
