Strolling around Matsumoto: Museum and the Former Kaichi School

#FuriTabi We will introduce the creative activities and spiritual trajectory of Yayoi Kusama from her early works to her latest series "My Eternal Soul". Experience Yayoi Kusama's present and origins in her hometown of Matsumoto. The former Kaichi School, designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan in 1961 and a National Treasure in 2019, is Japan's best elementary school during the Meiji Restoration era, with a "quasi-Western-style architecture". The rest area under the wisteria trellis is open to the public free of charge. An exhibition introducing Kaichi School and a shop are open in the former priest's house across the street.
