Revisiting History at the Luneta Park

The Rizal Park or what is also known as the Luneta Park is a historic park along Roxas Boulevard in Manila, Philippines built during the Spanish era around 1820. This was formerly known as Bagumbayan. This place has a rich history as this is where the country's national hero was executed. For locals and even tourists, this has been a favorite spot to visit. On weekends most especially, a lot of people hold picnic sessions around the park. Usually, those who take the tour around Intramuros also visit this park as it is just adjacent to it.
