Enjoy the city lights - Mandalay Hill.

Mandalay’s name comes from Mandalay Hill, the highest hill in the city. When Sakyamuni was preaching Buddhism, he passed by this mountain, pointed to the vast land below the mountain, and predicted that in 2400 years, a prosperous city would appear here. Mandalay really lived up to expectations. Under the rule of King Mindon👸, its 30 years of prosperity became an immortal page in history📖. When visiting Mandalay, we usually start at Mandalay Mountain, which is famous for its panoramic view of the city and river views at sunset. The climbing path is difficult. Nowadays, there is a cable car to climb the mountain and an elevator to go up to the tower. Steps have been built on the slopes of Mandalay Mountain, and there are temples every other section. There are 1,729 steps in total, leading directly to the top of the mountain. It is not very difficult to climb. You will see a large temple halfway up the mountain. It is said that there are three bones of the Buddha in the temple. After walking 2/3 of the way, there is a gold-plated statue of Shiiya Pagoda standing on the side of the road. He stretched out his hand to point to the location of the Grand Palace, which has a very unique shape. It was erected before the construction of King Mindeng's golden city began, symbolizing the prophecy of the Buddha.
