Mae Ngad Somboon Chon Dam, Mae Taeng, Chiang Mai

The Mae Ngad Somboon Chon Dam is a dam built according to the royal initiative of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great. It was originally called the Mae Ngad Dam and is located on the Mae Ngad River, a branch of the Ping River, Cho Lae Subdistrict, Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai Province. It is also located in the Sri Lanna National Park. The entrance to the dam is approximately at kilometer 41 on Highway No. 107 (Chiang Mai-Fang route). Turn right and drive for approximately 11 kilometers.
