Doi Chang Moob Viewpoint, Chiang Rai Province

Doi Chang Moob Viewpoint is the location of the Doi Chang Moob Operations Base on the Thai-Myanmar border. It has now been developed into a tourist attraction and viewpoint on the mountaintop, allowing us to see the Thai-Myanmar border and clearly see the Akha village in the neighboring country. It is another tourist attraction where you can come to pitch a tent and experience the cold weather, breathing in the fresh air amidst the beautifully lined up mountains. To get here, if you come via Doi Tung, drive along for only 7 kilometers and you will reach the Chang Moob Base tent site, which is 1,485 meters above sea level, the second highest in Thailand. The tent site is right next to the military base. It can be considered a new tent site in Chiang Rai Province. The path to the top of the viewpoint looks like a war camp, made from bamboo logs placed in a row as a walkway. In addition, there are other structures that represent the military, such as bomb shelters and checkpoints, giving a different kind of feeling.
