Mae Kampong, a small house in a big forest

Baan Mae Kampong, a popular tourist destination in Chiang Mai. This is a small village in the form of eco-tourism, surrounded by mountains and nature, approximately 1,300 meters above sea level. The village is over 100 years old. Most of the villagers migrated from Doi Saket District. The houses are built along the river and amidst the rich nature. The villagers' way of life is simple. The weather is cool all year round, and it gets very cold in winter. The villagers' main occupation is making Miang (tea). Their secondary occupation is growing coffee. You can come here for a day trip or stay at one of the villagers' homestays, which have more than 20 houses.
