📅 Mae Hia trip, 3 days, 2 nights

Day 1 In the morning, we picked up a small eco car rental (book online for around 600 baht per day) and drove up to Wat Phra That Doi Kham. 🛕 We made merit, paid respects to the Buddha, and lit incense and candles to pay homage to the chedi. Enjoy the view of Chiang Mai for free, with a cool breeze. 🍴 Breakfast: Pork congee + coffee at a small shop in front of the temple ~40 baht. In the morning, head down to Royal Park Rajapruek. 🌸 Entrance fee for Thais is 40 baht. Walk around the garden and enjoy taking photos. 🍴 Lunch: Chicken Khao Soi at a local restaurant near Mae Hia ~50 baht. In the evening, stroll through Mae Hia Market for inexpensive local food. 🍴 Dinner: Sai Ua (Northern Thai Sausage) + Sticky Rice + Herbal Drink ~60 baht. 🏨 Stay at Baan Phor Phan Hostel, a small hostel for 250–300 baht per night. ⸻ Day 2 Wake up early and head to the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden. 🌳 Walk the Skywalk for some fresh air. 🍴 Breakfast: Toast + roadside coffee ~30–40 baht.
