Rainbow falls at Mammoth Lakes: Yosemite’s underrated twin.

At the height of summer queues to get into California’s famous Yosemite national park can be anything up to 2 hours and with a $35 fee to enter many can be put off. However little over 30 minutes drive away you can find the stunning mammoth lakes. One of the best hikes is to take the shuttle to the visitor centre where a 5 mile (relatively easy) round trip takes you to the stunning Rainbow falls.
