Cebu’s Fort San Pedro

Currently called the Plaza Independencia, is a military defense structure built during the 1700s. This fortress is made of stone-walls by the bare hands of the Filipinos under the supervision of the Spaniards. You can tell from the walls that this structure holds so much history and story. Although, it bears a sad and traumatizing story of the Cebuano’s past, today, it serves as a peaceful retreat from the chaos of the city. This was our last stop after a whole day of strolling around Cebu and indeed it was a great escape from a tiring day. The trees around the place provided a serene ambiance and the entire environment was just peaceful and safe. #nationalpark
