The museum displays the rise and fall of the pawn industry over the past century, allowing people to have a glimpse into the economic pulse and cultural stories behind this city. As you step into the museum, the heavy wooden pawn cabinets and iron window guards reflect the rigorous and cautious atmosphere of pawn shops in the past. The ancient scales and pawn ticket records placed on the counter seem to still retain the anxiety and hope of the old people. What is most fascinating is the pawned items on display, from jewelry to daily necessities, each of which seems to tell the story of its owner.
