Recommended hotel in Macau: Sofitel Macau At Ponte 16 (Accor Platinum)

I booked a basic room for two nights and got upgraded to a sea view room. The location is perfect for exploring the Macau Peninsula's food scene. Sofitel Macau At Ponte 16 is about 1 km from the Ruins of St. Paul's, and within a 2 km walk, there are so many delicious restaurants (I had more than 4 meals a day!). There's a bus stop and an OK convenience store right outside the hotel. As an Accor Platinum member, I could check in directly at the lounge on the 17th floor without queuing. Usually, someone helps with luggage and takes it to the lounge. It was a busy weekend with a concert, but when I arrived at noon, my room was ready, and I got a late checkout at 4 pm (thumbs up!). I tried the afternoon tea at the lounge; the taste was average, but it looked good in photos. Breakfast is available at the lounge or at the Mistral restaurant on the 6th floor. The food was decent. However, there are a few issues with this hotel: The soundproofing is terrible. I could clearly hear people coming and going, and the TV in the next room. When checking in, ask the front desk for a corner room or a quieter room. Many power outlets were broken. There was only one national standard outlet; the rest were British standard. It's best to bring your own adapter. There was no bottled mineral water. I was told to use the tap water. I remember there was bottled mineral water when I stayed at the St. Regis in June or July.
