Majestic History: A Visit to the Lin Zexu Memorial Hall

Walking through the quaint streets of Macau, the Lin Zexu Memorial Hall feels like a portal through time, leading me into an era of great patriotism and dedication. This small building with its blue bricks and red tiles may appear modest, but it houses a deeply moving historical narrative that commands respect. Inside the hall, artifacts related to Lin Zexu's anti-opium campaign are on display, from manuscripts to letters, each word revealing the determination and foresight of this great figure. What impressed me the most were the brushes and books he once used; the delicate strokes seem to still carry the fervent energy, telling of his wish to serve the people. The display panels on the walls meticulously document the process of the Humen Opium Destruction, and reading those words, one can almost feel the fire of justice igniting in the sea. Outside the memorial hall's windows is a serene courtyard, shaded by green trees and filled with the gentle sounds of birds. Standing here, it feels as though the winds of history are whispering in my ears. I silently reflect that this memorial hall is not only to commemorate a great man but also to awaken our belief in cherishing peace and justice.
