I've eaten the cookies from Rua de Cinco de Outubro, but I didn't expect there to be a street in Macau called 📍Rua de Cinco de Outubro. This street is well-known because of the Hong Kong drama "Moonlight on October 5th." In the eyes of the locals, this 600-meter-long street is a symbol of "tranquility" and "peace" in Macau. ➡️ There are dozens of department stores, clothing stores, Chinese and Western pharmacies, tea shops, bakeries, and food wholesalers, which are still popular today.   How to visit❓   Rua de Cinco de Outubro refers to October 5th, named in commemoration of the Portuguese Revolution of 1910. The street is located near the Inner Harbor Pier, about a 10-minute walk from the Ruins of St. Paul's.   🔸Rainbow House At the intersection of Rua de Cinco de Outubro and Rua do Principe, there is a place called "Rainbow House." The colorful houses are painted with murals, which look really beautiful in photos.   🔹Catholic Church Walk up a steep slope and you will see this church, which has a Portuguese style. There are more than 20 restaurants of all sizes, many of which are old stores that have been passed down for decades or even hundreds of years. The food is delicious.   🔸Shi Xiang Peanuts and Melon Seeds   This is also the store I most want to recommend on this trip. It's a bit like a grocery store from my childhood, with an old clock ticking on the wall, full of childhood nostalgia. The owner is the second-generation heir of this store, which has been quietly guarded for 60 years. My favorite is the fermented bean curd peanuts, which have a fermented bean curd flavor and are very special.   🔹Zuanpu Coffee and Food   A local Macau tea restaurant with both Portuguese and local flavors. The signature dish is baked pork chop rice. I wanted to eat at Du Rong Kee next door, so I packed a pork chop bun to go.   🔸Du Rong Kee   There are no fancy styles, and the food is very authentic. The owner recommended the fish balls, which are fresh and chewy. We also ordered a siu mai rice roll. ⚠️ Note that the lemon tea is unsweetened, so you need to add syrup yourself.
