I was invited to try it out before it opened. Both the location and the view were amazing! The decoration style inside and outside really makes you feel like you are in the last century. Although the room is not big, it is very exquisite and worth living in. The only drawback is that the decoration smell has not dissipated yet. It should be much better now after the official opening. The New Central Hotel stands among the historic cultural heritage buildings in Macau and has extremely high historical value. Under the supervision of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macau, a massive restoration and reconstruction project was launched, aiming to "continue the century-old historical context and reshape the hotel's legendary image." Relying on ingenious technology, the engineering team started the repair and reinforcement project from the foundation. They used the independently developed static pile drilling method to drive 129 piles into the foundation that originally had no pile foundation, and rebuilt a new foundation to enhance the overall load capacity. The hotel's exterior and the "New Central" billboard on the top have retained their original appearance over the years, becoming an eye-catching landmark symbol of Macau's historic center. In order to vividly present the rich and legendary historical heritage of the New Central Hotel, the designers deeply explored the essence of the original building, from the window lattice patterns, tile decorations to the artistic layout of the ceiling and walls, cleverly integrating the cultural relics and architectural features of Macau from different eras. When you walk through the door, step on the quaint lobby floor tiles, and look at the yellowed old photos on the wall, it's as if you've traveled through time and space and blended with history. The design of the reception desk is inspired by the old “Fan Tan” game tables, which not only pays tribute to the past of the gaming industry, but also tells the story of the New Central Hotel and Macau’s unique history. In order to continue its century-old history, the New Central Hotel has set up a "Centennial History Gallery" on the ground floor to tell visitors about the historical changes of Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro (also known as Avenida de la New) and the New Central Hotel. Take a stroll through the area, listen to forgotten stories of the past, feel the traces of old Macau’s prosperous years, and feel its eternal charm amid the changing times. In addition, the “Historic Center Tourist Corridor” on the 11th floor not only provides an excellent panoramic view of Macau’s Historic Center, but is also an open museum full of stories and emotions.
