Monte Fort: A witness to history.

Address: Praceta do Museu de Macau, Santo António, Macau. Located on a hillside on the Macau Peninsula, Monte Fort is surrounded by lush greenery. It was a coastal defense system in Macau in the 16th century. After centuries of trials and tribulations, Monte Fort has seen its fair share of glory and destruction. It was once home to the famous St. Paul's College, but a devastating fire destroyed almost all the buildings on the fort. War is cruel. The fort is an irregular quadrilateral, with four corners forming bastions. The walls are about 9 meters high and can accommodate more than 30 cannons, which can resist attacks from all directions. Today, Monte Fort has become a popular tourist destination. There is a large green space in front of it, where you can overlook the panoramic view of Macau.
