Experience of staying at W Hotel in Studio City, Macau

During the National Day holiday, I had a layover in Macau and decided to try out the newly opened W. I went on a non-peak day, so the price was reasonable. ▪️Location ➖It's located in the second phase of Studio City. Macau is really small, so the location of W seems quite remote. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the Venetian. ➖However, the hotel is connected to Studio City, so you can also dine, shop and entertain there. ▪️Check-in ➖As it was a non-peak day, there weren't many people checking in. The concierge and front desk were quite enthusiastic, but they seemed a bit unprofessional. They didn't even inform about the basic breakfast time and location, which they really should have! ➖Although there weren't many people, the room wasn't cleaned until 4 pm. I was upgraded to a Fantasy Suite, which is something to praise about Macau. The hotels in Macau are really generous! ➖The luggage was delivered to the room immediately after check-in. A boy from the concierge department helped to introduce the facilities in the room (ps I forgot his name), which was really nice! ▪️Room ➖The only part of the room that resembles W's style is the guest bathroom. The main bathroom is also nicely decorated! The decoration of the guest room and living room is really not like W, it looks like a well-decorated commodity house. ➖There were no characteristic pillows on the bed, which made this hotel feel more like a business hotel than a trendy hotel! ➖In terms of quality, it's on par with other W hotels. The toilet is semi-automatic, and the curtains are manual! These are a bit hard to accept, but W can't be considered top luxury, so the expectations can't be too high! ➖The view from the window is really great, directly facing the 8-shaped Ferris wheel🎡 and Eiffel Tower🗼 of Studio City. ▪️Breakfast ➖The breakfast is quite rich, with a wide variety of options. Highly recommended here! ▪️Others ➖I didn't have time to experience the swimming pool and gym because I had to catch a flight the next day! ▪️Conclusion ➖W in Macau is a bit different from W in mainland China, it's more like W in Guangzhou with a strong business style. I guess most people who come to Macau prefer the business style (people who like to entertain). ➖It's nice to experience for one night, and the price is quite reasonable on non-peak days!
